These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TubeCrunch browser extension and related services (the “Service”), provided by Anthony Hull (trading as TubeCrunch) (“TubeCrunch”, “we”, “us”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
TubeCrunch is a browser extension that uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, answers, and reports from YouTube videos you choose — individually or in bulk (playlists, channels, search results, and selections). Output is generated by AI and provided for convenience.
Extension search collections, summaries, transcripts, Q&A, and local history are stored locally in Chrome/IndexedDB on your device. Supabase is used for auth/account identity, subscription/usage/account services, and secure backend access. Video/transcript content may be sent to our hosted backend and AI providers to generate summaries, answers, and reports, but extension history is not all stored in Supabase. Local extension data is device-specific and may be removed by uninstalling TubeCrunch or clearing extension storage.
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You agree not to: - Use the Service unlawfully or in breach of any third party’s rights; - Resell, redistribute, or provide the Service to third parties except as permitted; - Circumvent usage limits, authentication, or billing, or create accounts to abuse free allowances; - Use automated means to overload, scrape, or extract from the Service or our backend beyond normal use; - Attempt to access, reverse engineer, or misuse our backend, API credentials, or AI proxy; - Use the Service to generate unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the security or sustainability of the Service.
The Service interoperates with YouTube and other third-party platforms. To generate summaries, the extension retrieves publicly available video data (including available captions) for the videos you select, as presented by YouTube in your browser. Your use of those platforms is subject to their terms (including the YouTube Terms of Service). You are responsible for ensuring your use of TubeCrunch with any content complies with those terms and with applicable law and copyright. TubeCrunch is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
Summaries, answers, and reports are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are provided “as is” for convenience and are not professional, legal, financial, medical, or other advice. Verify important information against the source before relying on it. You are responsible for how you use the output.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TubeCrunch and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TubeCrunch from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access for breach of these Terms, suspected abuse, legal reasons, or to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity) survive.
We may modify the Service and these Terms. Material changes to the Terms will be notified in-app or by email and take effect on the stated date; continued use means acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
